Community Solar: Distributed Generation Interconnection Agreements

Distributed Generation Interconnection Agreements

For transmission of electricity generated by community solar power systems, the operator needs an agreement with the electric utility serving that location.  Typically, utilities offer standard interconnection agreements, covering standards of operations, inspection, testing, authorizations, rights of access, disconnections, financial security, and other terms.  Here are some examples.

Ameren Illinois

  • Standard Agreement for Interconnection of Distributed Generation Facilities with a Capacity Less Than or Equal to 10 MW
  • Illinois Commerce Commission - Subchapter C - Part 466 Pre-Application Report Request Form (less than 10 MW)
