OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is established by 29 U.S. Code § 651 et seq and is the agency most responsible for ensuring health and safety in the workplace.

OSHA sets and enforces standards for issues ranging from chemical exposure limits to requirements for protective equipment, machine safety, fall protection, and hazard communication. Employers also have a general duty to provide workplaces free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious harm.

Whistleblowers are also protected under OSHA from retaliation for reporting safety violations
